springboardQ. What type of business can I operate from the Springboard Business Centre?
A. Our aim is to attract knowledge based, high tech businesses to our region, for example, digital media, computer aided design, software based training companies etc. If in any doubt please contact our centre manager to discuss the eligibility of a business proposal before any application is prepared.

Q. How do I apply for a unit?

A. Please complete the application form in full and return as soon as possible. We are not able to consider you for a business unit, until this has been processed. Credit references will be obtained, and you will be invited for a centre tour, together with an informal discussion with Sharon Lomas, the centre manager.

Q. What will my initial costs be?

A. One months rent in advance.

Q. What additional charges will I incur?

A. Telephone - each business unit is supplied with one telephone handset, and telephone use will be billed to each individual unit.

Insurance - each business must take out public liability insurance cover. A copy of the insurance agreement must be filed with central reception.

Photocopier Use - We have a central photocopier for communal use. Usage is invoiced at the end of 3 months.

Fax Use - we have a central fax facility for communal use. Usage is invoiced at the end of each month.

Q. What additional services are offered by the Springboard Business Centre?

A. Reception is covered during working hours, - messages can be taken and relayed, greeting of your company visitors, and a variety of support services

There are catering facilities, together with hot and cold snack vending facilities.

All internal common areas, the conference suite and toilets are cleaned on a regular basis. The cleaning of individual offices are the tenants responsibility.

A central notice board facility will be provided for general business information

Q. Can I increase my unit space?

A. When a business requires additional space, and a suitable unit is available, this would be encouraged. The tenant may not sub-let or assign any part of the unit space to a third party, without prior written consent by the centre management.

Q. When can I use the conference suite?

A. We have a booking system run by the Centre Manager. Each tenant will have free of charge use of the facility for up to 4 hours each month. Additional time can be booked and be used by internal and external clients.
